Registration and Orchestra

I registered my oldest son for 7th Grade yesterday.  I can't believe he's going to be in 7th grade this upcoming school year.  How time flies...  He decided earlier in the week that he wanted to be in orchestra and play the violin.  On a spur of the moment decision - which doesn't happen too often (most of the time I have to plan and rethink and re-plan things out), I ended up getting a violin yesterday.  I figured, why have him wait, since I know the basics and I started playing in 5th grade.  I thought, I might as well teach him in the mean time.  I'm signing him up for a summer class and I hope he has a good time with it.  He did a great job last night.
