Emotions of Parenting
I wanted to refer back to my earlier post, "The Frustrations of Parenting." I wanted to acknowledge the emotions that parents feel when their child has misbehaved. Emotions such as frustration, anxiety, sadness, and anger come over us. We, in the end, feel emotions by the outcome of our child(ren)'s behaviour/actions. Why do our child(ren)'s actions affect us so greatly? They do because we CARE. We CARE SO MUCH about our children. We want them to grow up and be the best they possibly can. We want them to reach their potential we see in them. Therefore, we want to do something about it. I didn't realize this when I was a child or a teenager. I'm happy to know that my parents cared about me. I hope my children realize how much I care about them.
In the end, It's about LOVE, period.
